This presentation, held at the iconic kettle hole pond made famous by Henry David Thoreau, pairs up LPC’s Outreach Intern Mariah Haug and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation Wildlife Biologist Jillian Whitney. Mariah and Jillian will discuss loon biology, life history, nesting ecology, and the work being done in Massachusetts to monitor and protect loons.
