Double Duty

Viewers familiar with the first nesting pair we watched this year may recall the quick nest exchanges they had. Often, the incubating loon would jump off the nest as soon as they saw the mate approaching.

Well, this pair seems to be the opposite extreme. The female has a hard time convincing the male to leave the nest. In this video, we actually see two loons sitting on the nest before the male reluctantly slips into the water.
