The Loon Preservation Committee is part of a region-wide initiative of state and federal agencies and non-profit organizations called Fish Lead Free dedicated to providing resources for anglers across New England to help them make the switch to lead-free tackle.

The Voice of the Loon

Loons have four distinct calls which they use to communicate with their families and other loons; these are the tremolo, wail, yodel and hoot.
