First Chick Hatched!

The first chick finished breaking out of the shell sometime in the late morning. The pip was first seen late afternoon-early evening yesterday. Around 12:30 pm Mom allowed us the first peek. Total incubation time was almost exactly 27 days. The second egg was laid a little more than 48 hours after the first egg but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t hatch tomorrow.
