Join us on Saturday, August 6th from 12 – 4:00 PM for a paddling trip to visit with and learn about Lake Winnipesaukee’s loons. The Loon Preservation Committee is excited to partner with the Appalachian Mountain Club NH Paddlers to provide a series of guided paddling trips centered on loon education. In a small group setting, we will observe and interpret loon behaviors and vocalizations, learn the fascinating history of the loons on each lake, and discuss the conservation concerns that have affected them and the management work being done to help them successfully reproduce each year.
To maintain the small group setting, this trip is limited to ten participants. REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY. To register, visit https://amcnh.org/committees/paddling/#trip-id-139560. At the bottom of the event description, click ‘Register’. You will need to sign up with the AMC Paddlers in order to register.
Information on where to meet will be provided upon registration.
More details, including information about what to bring and information about renting boats from the NH AMC Paddlers, can be found on the event page linked above.
