Each year, the Loon Preservation Committee floats rafts and signs to help loon pairs nesting at vulnerable sites. Join us for a sign and raft building workshop on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 9 Am–1 PM to help construct these important management tools! Workshops will be held at the Loon Center (183 Lees Mill Road, Moultonborough NH 03254).  There is the opportunity for additional work, from 1-3 PM after lunch, for those interested. Power tools and safety gear will be provided, but please bring work gloves and hand tools, if desired. Snacks and beverages will also be provided, but please bring a bagged lunch.

We continue to be aware of the risk of COVID-19 in the community, and request that participants be vaccinated. Please do not attend a work session if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, or other flu-like symptoms) or have recently been exposed to someone with an active infection. We will work outdoors, weather permitting. Following CDC guidance, we will not expect participants to wear masks, but encourage individuals to mask up if personal risk level or preference warrant that.
