Chemical contaminants can negatively impact avian survival and reproductive success. As part of our work to restore New Hampshire’s threatened common loon population, LPC regularly test loon eggs for contaminant levels. In this presentation, LPC’s Squam Lakes Biologist, Tiffany Grade, will discuss LPC’s research on contaminants in loons across New Hampshire and the next steps in LPC’s research and efforts to protect loons from this statewide threat.
This is the third presentation in our Winter/Spring Loon Presentation Series. This talk is open to all, free of admission. No registration is required. The presentation will be live streamed on LPC’s YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/looncenter) at 7 PM on Thursday, April 15th.
